Patrick Covington-President

Patrick (Pat) Covington has more than 35 years of experience at Christian County Grain, a third generation, family owned grain elevator. Pat spent his early years helping at the elevator and on the farm. He is a 1987 graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree in Agriculture Business. After graduation, he returned the Hopkinsville to join his father, Joe, in the family business.

After Joe’s untimely death in 2003, Pat assumed the role of President of Christian County Grain overseeing daily management and operation of the business.

Under his leadership, Christian County Grain has experienced tremendous growth. His foremost priority is cultivating relationships with customers and clients. Storage capacity and unloading capacity has been a major focus of the company under his guidance. He believes it is extremely important to provide timely customer service to the customers. Christian County Grain has been in the clean food grade corn industry for several decades and has been a staple industry for the Covington Family. Foreseeing a change coming to the industry by the Food Modernization Act, Pat joined forces in 2016 with a nearby organization to build a modern cleaning facility.

Pat served on the Board of Directors of the Farm Bureau Association, is a member of the Christian County Agribusiness Association, served on the Board of Kentucky Feed and Grain Association, and served as Public Director on the Board of Southern States Petroleum in Hopkinsville.

Pat is married to the former Lisa Chiles and they have one daughter, Sarah. He is a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church where he is an usher and has served on the Parish Pastoral Council.

Todd Perry

Todd was born and raised in Hopkinsville, KY. After graduation from Hopkinsville High School, Todd attended Murray State University where he graduated with a degree in Agriculture Economics in 1999. After graduation, Todd worked a brief time for Security Seed and Chemical from Clarksville, TN. In 2000 Todd accepted a grain merchandiser position with Siemer Milling Company in Hopkinsville, KY. In 2004 Todd was named Co-General Manager of the Hopkinsville location while still handling all the wheat procurement needs for that location. Todd joined the Christian County Grain family in June 2017.

Todd is a 2010 graduate of the Kentucky Agriculture Leadership program He has also served on several community and state board including: Kentucky Feed and Grain Association (President), Kentucky Small Grain Growers Board, Hopkinsville Chamber of Commerce Board, and Christian County Agribusiness Association (President).

Todd and his wife, Amanda, live in Hopkinsville with their two daughters.

Wayne Larson-Senior Grain Merchandiser

Wayne was born on a farm in the southern part of Minnesota. He attended the University of Minnesota where he graduated with a degree in Agriculture Business Administration. After graduation Wayne accepted a grain merchant position with Pillsbury Company where he worked from 1968 to 1975. In 1975, Wayne moved to Franklin, Kentucky to manage Kentucky-Tennessee Grain. Wayne would eventually own Kentucky-Tennessee Grain until 2010. After selling KY-TN to Perdue Grain, Wayne stayed on with Perdue as an interim consultant/grain merchandiser until 2015. Wayne did not enjoy full time retirement life, and decided at the end of 2015 to join the Christian County Grain team. Since 2015, Wayne has worked with the Christian County Grain time on a part time basis working Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Wayne currently serves as Senior Grain Merchandiser for our team.

Wayne and his wife, Diane, currently live in Bowling Green, KY. Wayne and Diane have 4 children and 9 grandchildren.
